Funding for Pet Shelters Dogs and cats are not usually a primary concern for anyone trying to help women escape abusive homes. But if a small Ontario safety program is any indication, perhaps they should be.
Funding from the Ontario women's directorate will help clinics publicize the need.
Any funding for men's shelters?
Nah.

a simple campaign making men aware that they can have their wives temporarily removed from the home ought to cut back on the physical DV numbers for women by 80%...
